From Your Madam President
Due to unforseen circumstances,President Casey
Staley has resigned her post. Therefore, I Arleen Imus,
have moved into that position as my duty states.
We've had a whirlwind of activities the past few
weeks....Mant thanks go out to Pat kruman and Wendy
Coats for chairing the fun fun mystery bus trip. Patty
Persons, Linda lewis, and Dana acted 'stewardess' on
the bus, mixing and serving drinks, and supplying the
games. (One person won $500, and several others won
$100.) Each destination , Eagle clubs, had their officers
standing outside their doors to warmly greet us as our
bus pulled up. We stopped at Crystal River, Weekie
Wachie, New Port Richie, and Zephire Hills. The hosts
plied us with food, games, music and genuine friendship,
and of course liquid libation. On Feb. 1st, we were
privliged to welcome the Grand Madam President Sally
Villalva, and the Grand Worthy President, Ron Stine to
our club for a luncheon and fashion show. Chairing this
very succesfull event was Pat Kruman along with Holly
Laker. The Webb room was decked out in white linen
table cloths and pink linen napkins. On each table was a
pink stilletto hi-heel in honor of president Sally's motto. It
was a sold out affair, with around 140 guests in
attendance, some driving as far as 250 miles away.
Each president was presented with a large check for
their charities. We received many many compliments
and all of us were so very proud to be a member of #
4273. Respectfully, Arleen Imus, Mde. President
Two blondes were driving down the road.
The blonde driving looks at her friend in the passenger seat and
asks her to see if her blinker is working. So the blonde looks out the
window and says, ''Yes. No. Yes. No.''
During his physical examination, a doctor asked a retired man
about his physical activity level.
The man said he spent 3 days a week, every week in the
outdoors. "Well, yesterday afternoon was typical; I took a five
hour walk about 7 miles through some pretty rough terrain. I
waded along the edge of a lake. I pushed my way through 2
miles of brambles. I got sand in my shoes and my eyes. I
avoided standing on a snake. I climbed several rocky hills. I
took a few 'leaks' behind some big trees. I ran away from a
pissed off mother bear and then ran away from one angry bull
Elk. The mental stress of it all left me shattered. At the end
of it all I drank eight beers and a tall glass of bourbon"
Amazed by the story, the doctor said, "You must be
one hell of an outdoors man!"
"No," the guy replied, "I'm just a really crappy golfer".
F.O.E. DISTRICT 5 PICNIC – MARCH 10TH
This year, the District Past Presidents’ Club
will host this event at the Tiki Bar at Lake
County #4273, on March 10 th from 12:00 to
3:00 pm. If weather dictates, it will be
inside the Webb Room.
Come join the fun, games and food –
socialize with members from the other
Aeries and Auxiliaries in District 5 (Ocala,
Ocala Forest, Inverness, Crystal River,
Belleview, Eustis, Cedar Key, Sumter County
and Umatilla).
Two men drink in a bar.
One man says, "Did you know that beer contains
female hormones?"
The other man says, "No. Is that true?"
"Yes," says the first man. "If you drink too much, you
start talking crap and drive terribly."
Why can't a blonde dial 911?
She can't find the eleven.
Mystery Bus Trip…What a great time had by
all – Hope everyone enjoyed going to the
different Aeries. We were greeted so warmly
& plenty of food for everywhere. Thank you
to Mert for the chocolate – it was won by
people who helped make it such a huge
success.
National Presidents Visit #4273
Inspired Officers
On February 1 st, 2013, our Aerie had the great honor of
the National and State level Presidents and Officers
visit. We are very fortunate that they picked our Aerie
as their lunch stop. And what a spread the girls & guys
put on!
I had a very encouraging talk with Madam Prez Sally
and State Officers about how to handle being a new
President. She gave me some great advice and knew
exactly where I was coming from, since she experienced
her first year (I will say respectfully in this article) as
your proving ground or at the least the hardest year.
She went on to say that after a meeting she would put
all the tables together in the social area, so that the
officers would have to sit together vs going to their
separate areas (as to break off into clicks, my words).
This would force them to keep united as in the meeting
and socialize with each other. The talk was inspiring
and gave me that added spark to break through and
rock on for Lake County 4273. I didn’t know at that
time, that rocks were being used to build a wall that
would be hard for me to break through.
In closing, I do thank all involved to pull this
luncheon off, VP Arleen for making announcements
and presenting the National Aux. MP with a check for
her Charity. Pat K did set up the fashion show and the
food, the National MP raved over the pasta, said it was
her fav. Julyda & Pat Muise for stilettos. Thank you to
my friend and fellow Auxiliary member Becky, for being
there to help set up tables with salads and greeting
guests as they entered and taking pics, and helping
gather up all the fashions that were modeled. And
thank you Betty for being an awesome bartender!
Salute to Maxine of Fashion Labels in Leesburg for
doing an outstanding job! Even if she said my outfit
covered me flabulously!
Hehehe…Love you Maxine.
Peace to All Casey
Start Planning Your Auction Challenge Items………Last year, we asked State/Provincial Aeries and
Auxiliaries to come to International Convention with unique items for a special DRC Auction Challenge. The event was
a huge success, raising $11,475 and building great enthusiasm for our biggest week of the year. In 2013, we're giving
Eagles even more notice in hopes of making this year's challenge an even bigger one. More information will be
released in the near future, but in the meantime, we're encouraging all of our members to start planning their entries
today! Source FOE website

Webb Gets a New Gravely to Ride!
On Sat. Feb. 16 th it was a surprise for
Webb to arrive to work in the a.m.
Sitting in the yard was the brand new
Gravely mower that the trustees
proudly presented to him to make his
work a bit easier and enjoyable. Suited
up with his riding gloves, Webb takes
her for a spin around the yard.
By the way…Happy 90 th Webb (April
A man hated his wife's cat and he decided to get rid of it.
He drove 20 blocks away from home and dropped the cat
there. The cat was already walking up the driveway when
he approached his home.
The next day, he decided to drop the cat 40 blocks away
but the same thing happened.
He kept on increasing the number of blocks but the cat
kept on coming home before him. At last he decided to
drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the
bridge, then right again and another right and so on until
he reached what he thought was a perfect spot and
dropped the cat there.
Hours later, the man calls his wife at home and asked her,
"Jen is the cat there?" "Yes, why do you ask?" answered
the wife. Frustrated, the man said, "Put that cat on the
phone, I'm lost and I need directions."

New Deadline for Newsletter Submissions
From now on the 2 nd Wed. of the month, when we have meetings (by the end of
such meetings)…will be the deadline. Peace…Casey
A guy gets home early from work and hears
strange noises coming from the bedroom. He
rushes upstairs to find his wife naked on the bed,
sweating and panting.
"What's up?" he asks. "I'm having a heart
attack!" cries the woman.
He rushes downstairs to grab the phone, but just
as he's dialing, his four-year-old son comes up
and says, "Daddy! Daddy! Uncle Ted's hiding in
your closet, naked!"
He slams the phone down and storms upstairs
into the bedroom, past his screaming wife. He
rips open the closet door. Sure enough, there is
his brother, totally naked, cowering on the floor.
"What’s wrong with you!," says the husband. "My
wife is having a heart attack, and you're running
around with no clothes on scaring the kids!"
Wife #1: Hey, Lynn, tell me this. How did you get your
husband from staying out late?
Wife #2: Well, every time he would come home I would
simply say, 'Mike, is that you?'
Wife #1: But I still don't understand. How did that keep
him from staying out?
Wife #2: My husband's name is Andrew.

Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton were at a Yankees game.
Before the game began a secret service man came up to him
and whispered in his ear. Bill Clinton suddenly picked up
Hillary and threw her out on the field. The secret service man
came running up to him and said, "Mr. President Sir, I think
you misunderstood me, I said throw out the first pitch."
