Dear Brothers and Sisters,
WORTHY PRESIDENT NEWS
As we have passed another year I would like to reflect on the many charities to which our membership has
worked so hard to provide to our community. Such as feeding of our community with our potato drop, the
various donations to local youth groups and other civic activities. I would also like to thank the Prevailing
Winds Band conducted by Bob Fullerton for their Crusade For Toys concert. A big thank you to all of our
Bar Keepers who have worked hard this year and a big thank you to Sally Harmon for all of her years of
service and thanks to all the members who volunteered in all of our events this year. We were privileged
to have the Grand Worthy President Mike Lagervall Sr. visit us this year.
Just a reminder we are still in the middle of a membership drive and we will be have a membership drive
party on January 30th that the public is invited to. We encourage you to sign up new members so that we
News from the Madam President
Madam Secretary Report
I would like to start by welcoming our new and
re-enrolled members, Shelly Bosch, Amber
Meekhof, Gayle Mille, Mary Sandberg, Patricia
Wessel,Patti Buurma, Mary Dykstra, Stephanie
Harris, and Loretta McLaughlin.
The Auxiliary Christmas Party was great. Once
again the weather stopped some from attending
but the ones that did had a great time and once
again fantastic food. Thanks to all that helped on
the Christmas Party for our kids. Special thanks
to the Jr Eagles that helped. It was a great day.
Seems hard to imagine that the new year is here
already. I hope all had a great Holiday
season. We are working real hard to get our
Junior Order of Eagles started. We have
cancelled our meetings during the Holidays and
will be having our next one on Sat Jan 9,2010 at
2:00. We will then get back on schedule with
Jan 24 and Feb 7. Our membership is growing
really fast in the Auxiliary and I look forward to
seeing our new girls, and the not so new girls, at
all of the upcoming events.
Debbi DeYoung
Madam Secretary
At this writing, due to the illness of our Madam President and not having access to a
computer, I will be updating you on the happenings of the Auxiliary.
I hope that you all had a wonderful Holiday with your family and friends. It’s always nice
spending this time of the year reflecting back on the past year, some good and some not so
good. But, this is what makes us think how time goes by and that we should keep our entire
families close at heart. We should also, as always, keep our men and woman of the military in
our thoughts too.
We will be initiating a new Trustee who will be replacing Marti Wilder. Cindy Bradtmueller will
be accepting this appointed position. Our Madam President will be appointing two new
trustees , when the new by-laws take effect. This position has a one year term.
The Ladies Night was a success. The Ladies all seemed to be enjoying the show. We had a
lot of fun playing the Drinko game, thanks to Brenda. Thanks to all who helped put this night
on.
The December 8th meeting was held as a round table meeting and then we went downstairs
to the social hall to enjoy our Christmas potluck dinner. The dishes were all delicious. Due to
the inclement weather, there were not many in attendance. The tables were decorated very
festive thanks to Debbie.
Upcoming events the Trustees are working on will be a Love Potion mix-off the end of
February with local bars participating and we will be crowning a King and Queen for Mardi
Gras.
Wishing you all a healthy and happy New Year.
