Greetings Brothers and Sisters:
Happy February to all! Hope you all are staying warm….I would like to start off by saying thank you to all who came
out on Saturday, Jan. 26 th to help clean up the lodge…there were approximately 8 or 9 members who cleaned the
kitchen, pool room, lodge hall, bar and outside patio. Everything looks a lot cleaner..good job! Also, you might want
to take a look at our carpet in the social room and in the foyer…had that cleaned as well.
We have a few things going on this month…our regular monthly breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 2, featuring Nick Hill &
John Long making omelets your way….and on Sunday, Feb 3, our Superbowl dinner by Nick Hill..a super colossal Philly
Cheese steak sandwich dinner and a “bring your own meat” BBQ on Saturday, Feb. 23. Please come out and support
these events…no where else are you going to get a great breakfast or dinner for a minimal cost..and times being
what they are…the lodge needs your support..all proceeds go towards the Reedley Eagles Project fund.
We would like to remind all Reedley Eagle members about our State President’s Visit here on Thursday, March 7.
We will have a great chili verde dinner and awards presentation following the dinner. Hope to see all members and
especially all Officers then. Save the date for our upcoming Reedley Eagles Golf Tournament to be held on Sat.,
April 27 th . We are currently accepting sponsorships and raffle donations.
We want to welcome our four new members who were initiated at our last meeting. We still need to see more
members attend our meetings. Please, Please, Please….get involved…your Aerie needs you!
Don’t forget to use the suggestion box..we will consider all suggestions.

"The Reedley Eagles Lodge #2781 held its’ Annual Silent
Auction on Saturday, November 10. The event went very
well and successfully helped raise $2,500 for the Valley
Center for the Blind of Fresno. Valley Center for the Blind
provides many types of assistance for all ages from 5 - 102
years old. They receive group and individual counseling,
classes for brail, computer, independent living skills and
cooking. The Valley Center for the Blind assist
approximately 500 people in Fresno and the surrounding
counties of Kings, Kern, Tulare, Merced, Mariposa and
Madera. The goal is to reach as many people as possible who
would greatly benefit from the Center's services. "

Ken Warkentin; Executive Director, Valley Center for the
Blind, and Angel Romero, Worthy Vice President, Reedley
Eagles."
