The short test passage: “I’m caught in the crisis, still. - I admit I’m in love<br />
with the crisis” seemed to us in this context to be an acceptable dose of<br />
concrete text and was the inspiration for the title “Of the legacy we wanted<br />
to renounce with our bare fists”, which in turn was a play on a line by<br />
F. J. Degenhardt. Humourless, purist, sticking to the result of the accidental<br />
interplay of improvised piano, improvised voice and machines<br />
playing to themselves, we refused to make any further intervention in the<br />
recording. No supplementary effects, no shifting of the tracks. We made<br />
a final mix, and that was it.<br />
