Old wooden boats and modern vessels
in the pretty harbour can be admired
and taken out to the sea. The
festival includes diverse musical
and entertainment programmes,
handicraft, fish and fly market, international
regatta for young people
and other maritime undertakings.
The Guild Days offer a market where
local farmers sell their goods and
another where visitors can buy
handicraft, thus supporting the long
tradition.
The most famous legend lives between
the walls of Haapsalu Episcopal
Castle – the White Lady. The festival
is dedicated to this legend and
takes place every August in full
moon. A production about the White
Lady is performed as well.
