else. If you share this commitment, Opel Astra now offers a real choice. The 81 kW
(110 hp) 1.7 CDTI ECOTEC ® delivers a combined consumption of just 4.5 litres and cuts
CO 2 emissions to just 119 g/km. By optimising engine performance and idle speed,
increasing the final drive ratio, refining grille aerodynamics and fitting low rolling
resistance tyres this most efficient of Opel Astra engines protects the environment.
Available in 3-door, 5-door and caravan variants and on all trim levels.
Engine range. Just as every Opel Astra delivers individual driving dynamics, so the power
choice fits exactly to your preferred style of driving. A broad range of tech nologically
advanced and responsive ECOTEC ® petrol and state-of-the-art diesel engines deliver
power ranging from the sparkling to the awesome. In addition every power option
complies fully with the Euro 4 emission standard. The entry-level 1.4 TWINPORT delivers
respectable 66 kW (90 hp). The 1.6 engine with 85 kW (115 hp) features variable
camshafts for increased performance and excellent economy. If you want more power,
you may choose the 1.8 with 103 kW (140 hp), also available with 4-speed automatic.
In addition, there is the 1.6 Turbo with 132 kW (180 hp), the 2.0 Turbo with an impressive
147 kW (200 hp) or for OPC, the 2.0 Turbo with 177 kW (240 hp). For fans of diesel power
