Houses are all different shapes, sizes<br />

and ages. At this workshop children will<br />

discover <strong>Glasgow</strong>’s oldest house and meet<br />

<strong>on</strong>e of its <strong>for</strong>mer residents. Through play<br />

and detective work, they will explore the<br />

differences between houses of l<strong>on</strong>g ago and<br />

A visit to Provand’s Lordship<br />

gives children the chance to<br />

learn about <strong>Glasgow</strong>’s medieval<br />

past. Provand’s Lordship was<br />

built over 500 years ago and is<br />

<strong>Glasgow</strong>’s oldest house. Learners<br />

can immerse themselves in the<br />

historic surroundings.<br />

and detective work, learners will explore the<br />

Mary, Queen of Scots<br />

Sec<strong>on</strong>d Level, Primary 5–7<br />

Per class: FREE (<strong>Glasgow</strong>) or £36<br />

Available Wednesdays <strong>on</strong>ly<br />

Bring your class to meet Mary Set<strong>on</strong>, the<br />

faithful lady-in-waiting to Mary, Queen of<br />

Scots. Through drama and dressing up this<br />

character-led sessi<strong>on</strong> will take pupils back in<br />

time to explore the fascinating story of this<br />

Scottish Queen. EXA 2-13a<br />

Un<strong>for</strong>tunately, due to the layout<br />

of the house, it is not possible<br />

to eat packed lunches inside<br />

Provand’s Lordship. There is a<br />

semi-sheltered area with seating<br />

in the garden that you are<br />

welcome to use. Indoor space<br />

may be available at the nearby<br />

St Mungo Museum of Religious<br />

<strong>Life</strong> and Art, but this is limited<br />
