This workshop explores a range of drawing
techniques. Learners will be encouraged
to experiment with a variety of unusual

Children will investigate portraiture. They
will explore how to express themselves and
portray others through this experimental,

Sculptures

This workshop looks at how artists
experiment with scale, material, form and
space. Learners will be encouraged to
problem solve, create and construct their

I see, I think, I wonder ...
All school workshops for 2012–13 will explore exhibitions of sculpture,
drawings, video installations and prints.
Every workshop will:
• Explore works of art
• Be tailored to age, ASL and language needs
• Include time in the gallery and studio
• Incorporate an interactive tour and discussion
• Offer exciting practical activities
• Involve peer discussion and critical feedback
• Conclude with reflection on learning outcomes
In 2012–13 exhibitions at GoMA will include:
Tales of the City, 21 June 2012– 23 June 2013: an exhibition of works taken
from our collections and recent acquisitions.
Fiona Tan: Disorient, 19 July 2012–24 February 2013: a large immersive
video work which will take up the whole of Gallery 1 (shown as part of
Tales of the City).
Niki de Saint Phalle, 15 November 2012–3 November 2013: a selection of
stunning sculptural works from different stages of the artist’s career, taken
from a recent donation of works by Eric and Jean Cass.
Teachers are welcome to bring a camera to all GoMA workshops to record
pupils’ work and activities.

other nationally and internationally
renowned artists. There is a wealth
of artwork for all to be inspired by
and enjoy.
