pushes and pulls, gravity, fricti<strong>on</strong>, magnetism<br />

and air and water resistance. They will also<br />

design, make and test their own vehicles.<br />

Museum Discovery Tour<br />

Come and explore behind the scenes at<br />

GMRC. This hour-l<strong>on</strong>g tour gives pupils a<br />

chance to discover the variety of objects<br />

stored at this unique venue. From paintings<br />

to prams and antelopes to armour, GMRC<br />

has it all. The tour may include object<br />

In this exciting workshop pupils will explore<br />

the world of the rain<strong>for</strong>est, handle objects<br />

from the Amaz<strong>on</strong> and learn about the lives<br />

of the people living there. Engaging in<br />

discussi<strong>on</strong>s and using role play, they will<br />

make decisi<strong>on</strong>s about some of the important<br />

envir<strong>on</strong>mental issues that surround this<br />

This exciting hands-<strong>on</strong> science workshop is<br />

geared towards understanding both inventors<br />

Learners will join us behind the scenes and<br />

explore our fascinating collecti<strong>on</strong>s, then<br />

build their own Morse code machine and<br />

send each other secret messages!<br />

Specially tailored <strong>for</strong> pupils with sensory<br />

impairment, this sessi<strong>on</strong> focuses <strong>on</strong><br />

multi-sensory activities using smells,<br />

sounds and handling objects. Children<br />

will meet some of our seashore creatures,<br />

including Sammy the Seagull, and have<br />

the opportunity to handle shells, sand and<br />
