6. Headquarter, BSC Library (<strong>the</strong> Bookshop Gift) and Info-Boards
In <strong>the</strong> last reports our Office Room was presented, showing different stages <strong>of</strong>
improvements. We still do some clearing and rearranging <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> rocks, minerals and thin
sections deposits that belong to <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Mineralogy, most <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m being useful in
fur<strong>the</strong>r researches. The activity regarding <strong>the</strong> books is an ongoing work to put <strong>the</strong>m in a
database to be easy navigated on <strong>the</strong> internet and also to bring more books. The acquisition <strong>of</strong>
IT, technical and electronic equipment is still our main focus. All <strong>of</strong> this helps us work better,
improving our pr<strong>of</strong>essional skills.

The BSC Library contains:
- Books from Romanian Geological Institutes (from early 1900 to present days)
- Various Geological and Geophysical books (Romanian and foreign)
- Journals, Newsletters and o<strong>the</strong>r publications: <strong>AAPG</strong> Explorer & Bulletin, Nature, Science,
Tectonophysics, The Leading Edge <strong>of</strong> SEG, The First Brake <strong>of</strong> EAGE, AGI and GSA
publications, etc.
