Description<br />
The X60008-50 is an extremely stable low power, high accuracy<br />
5.0V voltage reference fabricated in Xicor’s proprietary Floating<br />
Gate Analog technology. The X60008A-50 features guaranteed 1<br />
ppm/°C maximum temperature coefficient, absolute initial<br />
accuracy <strong>of</strong> ±500µV <strong>and</strong> extremely low, 10ppm thermal<br />
hysteresis. Operating power consumption is typically 500nA <strong>and</strong><br />
load regulation is guaranteed up to 10mA (source <strong>and</strong> sink).<br />
Short circuit current is guaranteed at 80mA continuous.<br />
Initial accuracy is typically the first consideration when<br />
selecting a precision voltage reference, however, temperature<br />
coefficient must also be considered due to the impact <strong>of</strong><br />
temperature variation on the reference output voltage. Devices<br />
with very tight initial accuracy specifications can be adversely<br />
impacted by temperature changes, thus minimizing the<br />
potential value <strong>of</strong> tight initial accuracy. Xicor’s X60008A-50 is<br />
tested <strong>and</strong> guaranteed to be 1 ppm/°C max over the full 125°C<br />
span <strong>of</strong> the industrial operating temperature range. The accuracy<br />
<strong>and</strong> thermal stability performance <strong>of</strong> the X60008A-50 in addition<br />
to the low 500 nA power consumption make it an ideal companion<br />
to high resolution, low power data conversion systems.<br />
