Use Attendance Support Program to reduce Workers Compensation Board,<br />

Sick leave and Long Term Disability usage within each management unit<br />

Ensure timely employee performance development plan review<br />

Provide a healthy, professional, clean, safe, respectful, and positive work<br />

environment for all employees<br />

Employee Engagement<br />

• Hold an Employee Appreciation Day<br />

• Each management unit to conduct ‘Leadership Forum’ at not lower<br />

than Superintendent level<br />

• Better formalize Business Unit rewards and recognition<br />

• Continue to focus on competencies for front line supervisors<br />

Promote TPW as a workplace of choice through various job fair<br />

opportunities<br />

Continue to recognize staff through the Employee Recognition Committee<br />

TPW 1.8 Identify up to five key positions targeted for leadership opportunities for<br />

improved succession planning and employee development<br />

Outcome: Enhance Frontline Transactional capacity within the workplace<br />

TPW 1.9 Support the development of a corporate HRM training database that will<br />

improve the reporting and evaluation of training and development<br />

the number of Apprentices relative to the number of Journeymen in the<br />

workplace<br />
