Figure 1.2: Map of Underland or <strong>Wonderland</strong>. I compiled this map with cartographic clues<br />

throughout Lewis Carroll’s book. Crims, <strong>the</strong> central area, is surrounded by Queast <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> east,<br />

Wizend and Iplam <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> west, Snud <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> south, and <strong>the</strong> Crimson Sea <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> north. Marmoreal is<br />

situated <strong>in</strong> south-eastern <strong>Wonderland</strong>.<br />

Select<strong>in</strong>g ways of organis<strong>in</strong>g, analys<strong>in</strong>g and <strong>in</strong>terpret<strong>in</strong>g my data<br />

students <strong>from</strong> ano<strong>the</strong>r university, and one <strong>in</strong>vited me to discuss academic photo voice <strong>in</strong> a series of<br />

articles on a photographic blog. In addition, I applied for fund<strong>in</strong>g at <strong>the</strong> National Arts Council for an<br />

exhibition of <strong>the</strong> visual text that I collected as data for this study.<br />

I kept a travel journal to capture my feel<strong>in</strong>gs of be<strong>in</strong>g lost similar to those when <strong>Alice</strong> became lost. As<br />

I became emerged <strong>in</strong> my journey with <strong>Alice</strong>, I could identify with <strong>Alice</strong>‟s <strong>in</strong>quisitiveness, despite (or as<br />
