Pathogenesis
The activated Cyclic Adenosine
Monophosphate:
Inhibits the absorptive sodium transport.
Activates the excretory chloride transport in the
intestinal crypts cells. And
Inhibits the absorption of sodium chloride in the
villus cells, eventually leading to an accumulation
of sodium chloride in the intestinal lumen.
