4.2.3 Detailed Description of Bus and <strong>Master</strong> Parameters<br />

Both the bus and the master need to be configured. The accurate choice of the bus parameters is the<br />

foundation of correctly operating data exchange on the Profibus network.<br />

The following table contains relevant information about the bus parameters (including the master’s<br />

parameters) for the <strong>PROFIBUS</strong> <strong>DP</strong>-<strong>Master</strong> firmware such as a short explanation of the meaning of the<br />

parameter and ranges of allowed values:<br />
