3. Improved capacity of the health system to deliver services<br />

3.1. Improved work<strong>in</strong>g conditions for public health (PH) support staff at the DHO<br />

3.1.1 <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Office at DHO renovated<br />

3.1.2. <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Health</strong> office equipped<br />

3.1.3. One (1) 4x4 vehicle for supervision for <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Office provided and operational<br />

3.1.4. At least 12 motorcycles for supervision for <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Office purchased and<br />

operational.<br />

3.2 Institutional capacity strengthened at the DHO<br />

3.2.1. At least 10 staff tra<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> accordance with the needs assessment with scholarships<br />

from the education fund<br />

3.2.2 At least 12 research projects funded and research f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs dissem<strong>in</strong>ated to relevant<br />

parties.<br />

3.2.3 Computer lab established at the hospital<br />

3.3 Improved/strengthened health management <strong>in</strong>formation system<br />

3.3.1 Effective <strong>in</strong>ternet service and computers <strong>in</strong>stalled at the DHO and <strong>in</strong> 4 health zones (5<br />

total)<br />

3.3.2 Capacity build<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> HMIS for coord<strong>in</strong>ators and health centre management teams<br />

3.3.3 Village <strong>Health</strong> Registers fully <strong>in</strong>stitutionalized <strong>in</strong> the district (see Annex 12).<br />

The Logical Framework Matrix is presented <strong>in</strong> Annex 1. The framework presented <strong>in</strong> Annex 1 may<br />

need to be adjusted as the programme develops. Such changes need to discussed and approved at<br />

the bi-annual meet<strong>in</strong>gs specified <strong>in</strong> Article 7 of the <strong><strong>Part</strong>nership</strong> Agreement, and further approved by<br />

the ICEDA Head Office.<br />

5.4. Activities and workplan<br />

A list of activities and workplan for <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>2016</strong> is presented <strong>in</strong> Annex 1, together with the Logical<br />

Framework Matrix.<br />
