Student
• ST_SORLCUR_INSERT_ODS_CHANGE and
ST_SORLFOS_INSERT_ODS_CHANGE to insert change records into
SGRPCHG with a SGRPCHG_TABLE_NAME of 'FIELD_OF_STUDY'.
• Updated the DELETE_MST_FIELD_OF_STUDY and
UPDATE_MST_FIELD_OF_STUDY mappings to use SGRPCHG instead of
SHRDCHG.

Impact
The Instructional Assignment view was returning the wrong results when a person
had multiple academic periods with the same academic year.
Resolution
The WHERE statement was joining ACADEMIC_YEAR instead of
ACADEMIC_PERIOD.

Impact
Item 1 - Joining the STUDENT to the STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT is cumbersome
since the STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT is not built by ACADEMIC_PERIOD. This is
inconsistent and confusing since it does not follow the same pattern as the other
reporting views in the ODS.
Ease of use for the end user would expect the change to the
STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT:
REMOVE the columns ACADEMIC_PERIOD_START and
ACADEMIC_PERIOD_END.
ADD the columns ACADEMIC_PERIOD and ACADEMIC_PERIOD_DESC.
Modify the data load for the MST_STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT to use the display
rules from MGRSDAX with an INTERNAL_GROUP = COHORT and
INTERNAL_CODE = STDNCHRT and load the cohort values by these rules.
Modify the reporting view STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT to display the cohort1,
cohort2, cohort3, etc. by ACADEMIC_PERIOD.
Update the Cognos Packages as appropriate.
Update the Discoverer EUL as appropriate.
Resolution
Item 1: Added academic period and description, and removed academic period
start and end columns from MST_STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT table and
STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT view. Modified package MSKCHRT to populate
MST_STUDENT_COHORT_SLOT by academic period instead of a range of
academic periods. Updated reporting views AS_STUDENT_DATA,
GOVERNMENT_ACADEMIC_OUTCOME, and
GOVERNMENT_FINANCIAL_AID to use the new ACADEMIC_PERIOD column in
the join conditions.
