Julie has a caring heart and is supporting her
fellow consultants. Julie has hosted a party
for Sherri Hill at college and has been acting
as Sherri's assistant at her parties this past
year. On her Easter break she helped Ladonna
Gueswel with a large SPA party. She has been
so go-give in helping other's build their
business and all the time taking 17 college
credits. She is looking forward to going to
Dallas for Seminar this year.
We are so proud of Julie and look forward to
showing her off in Dallas.

Dear Diamonds,
A-may-zing May! This is the month I began my career 30 years ago on May 19th. It truly has been an amazing
journey. Thanks to all of you for making this a wonderful experience! Julie and the Jewel’s finished their
second month of DIQ and I am so impressed their efforts and Julie’s Leadership skills while working at the Country
Club at the beginning of their busiest season putting in 12 hour days sometimes. This proves that you can have a
plate full of nachos and MK is the warm cheese that filters down through the chips. Busy people get more done. (So
go out and look for busy women). Julie, we can’t wait to honor your unit as you debut on that seminar stage! First
Lashona, and now Julie, Who’s next? Lashona leaves tomorrow for Dallas for her New Director training and I so
wish I was joining her for an amazing four days. I will never forget my debut which was 21 years ago. April Thielen is just one away
from team leader and going on target for her Car next month. She drove to Hobart Ok which is 11 hours with all three of her kids (ages
28 mos. to 6 yrs.) and held a party for her sister who is on April’s team and shared the dream with another sister, Tami Prater, and she
became a qualified team member. All while visiting her father who is ill and getting to spend time with her Mom! There is not a doubt
in my mind that April will be getting her keys on stage at seminar!
Well ~ here we are just 57 days away until the end of the Seminar year…..I guess I can say were are in the final stretch …. The final
quarter. As I think about the “final stretch,” I can’t help but think of races…all kinds of races from the Olympics to Nascar, to running a 4
minute mile, to the heart warming true story of a horse named Secretariat. If you haven’t watched it in a while I suggest you do so. Do
you remember the story of the autistic young senior, Jason McElwain from Rochester, New York. He was a team manager for his high
school basketball team and never suited up one game, but coach gave him his chance to play in the last 4 minutes of the last home
game of the season. Guess what happened…history was made! He hit six 3-point shots and a 2 pointer and was carried on the court of
his team-mate’s shoulders! And at that moment, in 4 minutes, his life as he knew it was changed forever! He became the focus of every
TV talk show, news story, emails…but the ultimate was seeing him and his family meeting with the President of the United States!
Wow, what it must feel like, to live your life, being different, always coming up short, an underdog and suddenly, within 4 minutes, have
your future totally changed! Have all or any uncomfortableness, ridicule, missed opportunities…vanish! Have all your efforts be
validated to a level not even able to be conceived!
Well, all I can think of is 2 small, powerful words…WHAT IF?! What if Jason had parents that raised him to live ‘safe’ instead of ‘large?’
Often we protect others from the possible pain of disappointment by discouraging risk. Jason risked, but what if all those previous 4
years of attending practices and games, he had not risked. What if he was encouraged to play safe and do something else, something
within his perceived capabilities? Well, I think we all know the answer…he would never had the 4 minutes that changed his life forever!
Oh my, what if you don’t believe in the next 61 days that your efforts and determination will validate this whole year? What if, you sit
back and wait for the next year to start? I don’t have a crystal ball, but I can guess, and I only know that if Jason had not shown up for
the last game of his senior year, all the 4 years prior of attending all those games would have been uneventful, and the 4 minute
moment of magic would have never been.
Your 4 minute moment is waiting for you! It’s more than 4 minutes, it’s your badge of excellence for this Mary Kay year! You have 61
days to pull out all the stops. Magic can still happen, ask yourself, WHAT IF? YOU DECIDE!

2012 for unit growth. Rewards are based on increasing the unit’s size by 10 percent each month from March 1 – June 30, 2012
Seminar Rewards
Independent Sales Directors who complete their Way to Grow goal at least three of the four months from March 1 to June 30, 2012, will receive an
invitation to the Way to Grow Luncheon and a name badge ribbon – along with all of their contributing unit members with at least one new active *
personal team member. Plus, all luncheon attendees will receive a one-of-a-kind bonus bracelet.
Bangle Bracelet Rewards
Each month in which an Independent Sales Director achieves her Way to Grow goal, each contributing unit member will receive a glamorous bangle
bracelet for every new active ** personal team member she adds! The bracelets come in three coordinating designs that can be worn alone or together
for maximum impact. For example, if a unit member adds three new active ** personal team members in March, and the unit has achieved the March
Way to Grow goal, she’ll receive all three bracelets. Add more and receive more bracelets! Note: Bracelets will be earned and mailed in this consecutive
order: 1) silver bangle 2) rose-gold bangle 3) yellow-gold bangle. The pattern will repeat as more bracelets are earned. Independent Sales Directors also will
receive a bangle bracelet for each new active ** personal team member they add each month when their monthly Way to Grow goal is achieved.
