Learn about the Native Americans, early fur traders, and pioneers who settled along the<br />
Spokane River. Walk through the former Expo ’74 site, now Riverfront Park, see the sculptures<br />
and remnants <strong>of</strong> the Worlds’ Fair. As you walk through downtown, hear the stories <strong>of</strong> wild Spokane<br />
in the late 1800s, the Great Fire <strong>of</strong> 1889 that leveled 32 blocks <strong>of</strong> downtown, the people that rebuilt<br />
downtown, and the architects that designed the buildings. Your guide will point out ornate details<br />
on the buildings built after the Great Fire. See how they have been refurbished into current businesses.<br />

Zak Designs was established in 1976. We are the world’s leader in licensed children’s<br />
dinnerware. We partner with Disney, Warner Brothers, Mattel, Nickelodeon, and other licensors.<br />
We put their characters on our products. We manufacture product in China and redistribute in the<br />
US from our Spokane <strong>of</strong>fi ce. Closed toe/heel shoes—no sandals. Advisers welcome!<br />

Caterpillar Logistics provides world-class supply chain solutions and services to its parent<br />
company, Caterpillar, Inc. The Spokane Distribution Center, which employs over 150 people,<br />
opened in 2012 and spans over a half million square feet. The tour will include an overview <strong>of</strong><br />
Caterpillar and a tour <strong>of</strong> the parts distribution center. Advisers encouraged to attend!<br />

General walking tour <strong>of</strong> Gonzaga’s campus led by one <strong>of</strong> our Student Ambassadors. You<br />
will see the main academic buildings as well as the student center, fi tness center, and library. Wear<br />

Tour the DoubleTree by Hilton Spokane and learn how the property complies with the<br />
requirement <strong>of</strong> the Green Seal Standard for hotel & Lodging properties. Tour through the different<br />
departments and speak to different leaders on what each separate department must do on a daily<br />
basis to keep in compliance with Green Seal standards. Advisers encouraged to attend.<br />

Built in 1916 the Steam Plant once supplied steam heat to all <strong>of</strong> downtown Spokane. It<br />
was shut down in 1986. In 1996 we started renovation and in 199 we re-opened with a variety <strong>of</strong><br />
commercial <strong>of</strong>fi ce and retail space with a restaurant and brewery as one <strong>of</strong> our anchor tenants.<br />
