90 minutes 40 participants
Volunteers from the Clerk’s Offi ce, Probation Offi ce, and chambers perform a scripted courtroom
presentation of you. The presentation highlights various stages of a criminal trial from initial
arraignment to post-sentencing. You get to participate as co-counsel for each side, witnesses,
and as challenged jurors. The presentation lasts about 40 minutes. It is followed by a Q&A period
with a judge and presentation by the US Marshals. Live proceedings may be visited. Advisers
encouraged to attend.
2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. DOUBLETREE BY HILTON SPOKANE CITY CENTER MEET IN LOBBY OF
60 minutes 25 participants RL HOTEL AT PARK
Tour the DoubleTree by Hilton Spokane and learn how the property complies with the
requirement of the Green Seal Standard for hotel & Lodging properties. Tour through the different
departments and speak to different leaders on what each separate department must do on a daily
basis to keep in compliance with Green Seal standards. Advisers encouraged to attend.
2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. RIVERFRONT PARK MEET IN LOBBY OF
60 minutes 20 participants RL HOTEL AT PARK
Join the walking tour of the park and areas of operation. There will be a short session
regarding what they look for when hiring new team members. Wear comfortable shoes. Advisers
encouraged to attend.
2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. GHOST TOUR BUS LEAVES AT 2:00
90 minutes 30 victims $8 charge
There is a reason the City of Spokane is considered the most active paranormal and ghost-infested
place in the State of Washington. That reason is because it is true! Join your guide, Mr.
Creech, for a bus tour of the most haunted places in Spokane. Advisers encouraged to attend.
2:30 p.m.-3:15 p.m. STEAMPLANT SQUARE BUS LEAVES AT 2:15
45 minutes 15 participants
Built in 1916 the Steam Plant once supplied steam heat to all of downtown Spokane. It was shut
down in 1986. In 1996 we started renovation and in 199 we re-opened with a variety of commercial
offi ce and retail space with a restaurant and brewery as one of our anchor tenants. Advisers
encouraged to attend.
