Over the course of many decades, a
number of our waterways have become
impaired because of land-use decisions
and practices with the unfortunate side
effect of contributing to increased runoff
volumes, usually loaded with pollutants.
Urban and agricultural runoff, failing
septic systems and point source
discharges from industry and sewage
treatment plants - all contribute to
poor water quality.
that aim to restore and protect our
waterways by advocating practices
that prevent or reduce polluted water
runoff.
