In July, much of the short-term parking lot in front of Terminal 2—which had been<br />
relocated for 15 months as part of The Green Build construction—reopened,<br />
providing more convenient parking for travelers. Work continues on drywall,<br />
baggage systems, flooring and other finishes, and The Green Build is on schedule<br />
to finish in summer 2013.<br />
The <strong>Airport</strong> Authority and its construction teams reached peak construction<br />
on The Green Build in <strong>2012</strong>, bringing 1,000 workers on site on any given day.<br />
To date, nearly 6,000 workers have had a role in the project. Keeping money and<br />
jobs in <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> was a top priority during construction, and it shows: The small<br />
