Karragarra Island is one of a number of Moreton Bay islands that slips under the shadow of
it’s bigger neighbour, North Stradbroke. Karra is a well known day paddle trip because of its
close proximity to Brisbane.
We will launch from the ramp south of Weinam Creek and paddle across to Garden Island
sneaking through a short cut and then paddling south down to our arrival point at Karragarra
Island. Karra does not have a shop but there are electric BBQs, toilets and plenty of tables
and chairs so a hot breakfast / brunch is certainly an option. We will return via the southern
end of Garden back to our launch site at approx 12.30pm.
7.30am
