b) Area of occupancies against use of occupancy (neither the current precincts nor<br />

postcode methodology address this)<br />

However, this would need to be considered in light of the cost of implementation which may not<br />

satisfy the goal of operational efficiency.<br />

The alternative is consideration of the potential linking of wetland area rentals with the rate for<br />

public moorings as the matters considered in both have some comparability and implementation<br />

costs are likely not to be excessive.<br />

5. A program should be considered for conduct between LPI, Maritime and Crown Lands to<br />

correctly identify the total area, and specific area, of wetland as opposed to reclaimed land to<br />

allow more accurate assessment of occupancy rentals.<br />

LPI, Maritime and Crown Lands should investigate implementation of structured arrangements<br />

for use of the Register of Land Values in setting of rentals for occupancies. It is suggested the<br />

arrangement be similar to those in effect between LPI and Councils, to provide for consistent<br />

access, delivery, use and maintenance of relevant land value records by Maritime and Crown<br />

Lands.<br />
