If it is not, then it is not the end.” (Oscar Wilde, 1854-1900) Quite a few literary comparisons might be drawn when we pass the production process of the 2014 CENTURION catalogue in review. So for instance: “Rome was not built in a day“ or “All that glitters is not gold”. But because we are (once again) proud of what has become “our baby” for MY 2014, we have decided for the good end of an again exciting production – whose success resulted, as it has always done, from the dedication of quite a lot of extraordinarily motivated people. Besides the obligatory praise of ourselves for the conceptualization, layouting, planning and realization with regard to the contents of “CENTURION Bikes 2014”, we do especially thank Daniel Geiger (www.danielgeiger.net): His successful mix of professionalism, experience, exceptional dedication and a pinch of “intuitive thinking at the right moment” has again resulted in excellent photos. Though our bikes did not only cut a good figure outdoors alongside with models (who also deserve our gratitude): They too had to be put into the right indoors perspective for precise close-ups. Regarding this, a big thanks goes to Olaf Nagel (www.nagel-photodesign.de) who has already often had to work under less difficult conditions for sure… Thank you, Markus Mittner (www.kontrastplus.net), for the final picture editing and so for our catalogue’s “visual fine tuning“! And not least, a reliable printing company is necessary to ensure that the precious piece is not only published digitally but also that your hands can feel its weight – many thanks, BluePrint AG (www.blueprint.de)! During the photo shootings, we were kindly supported by the Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH and by the Zillertal Tourismus GmbH – thank you for the excellent assistance on location! Our models were kept warm and dry by Vaude Bikewear; their precious heads and eyes were protected with the help of Alpina. Great thanks for this as well! And our very special thanks goes to Inge and Herbert this year – thank you for your special contribution which was so superb! As you can see: it was worth it!
