maisonette block at 21-36 were to be<br />
removed and relocated this would allow<br />
for the reopening of Bingfield Street. This<br />
would produce a clear walking route from<br />
any new development on King’s Cross<br />
Central through to the Caledonian Road.<br />

Bingfield Park. Landscaping of the<br />
park started in early 2005. This<br />
follows extensive consultation<br />
between Greenspace, Crumbles<br />
Castle and the local community.<br />
Crumbles Castle is an adventure<br />
playground with an associated<br />
building that is a centre for<br />
children and young people. The<br />
plans for the park include moving<br />
the perimeter of Crumbles to give<br />
it an entrance directly on to the<br />
street. The park was reopened in<br />
July 2005.<br />

is a small amount of Victorian housing<br />
and warehousing. Nearby is the<br />
Bemerton Estate, built in the late 1960s,<br />
and which ranges from approximately five<br />

To the south, Delhi Outram has a<br />

Outram nor Bemerton have traditional<br />

The redevelopment of both the former<br />
Street William of York school site and the<br />
Triangle have the potential to bring new<br />
architectural styles and streetscape to the<br />
area. Bingfield<br />
Park could play an important role in<br />
softening the differences between these<br />
housing styles and street patterns – it is<br />
also a natural focal point for the different<br />
communities in the area.<br />
Overall, this area is characterised by a<br />
strong mix of architectural styles and<br />
