The Junior League of Minneapolis (JLM) Announces
Incoming Board of Directors
The Incoming Board of Directors will lead the Junior League of Minneapolis in its
2011-12 League year
MINNEAPOLIS (March 4, 2011) — The Junior League of Minneapolis announces a new Board
of Directors for its 2011-12 League year.
President – Suzie Wilmot
Joined the League in 1999; employed as the International Tax Counsel with Pentair, Inc.;
previously served as the President-Elect.
President-Elect – Maggie Kirchoff
Joined the League in 2004; employed in finance with Target Corporation; previously served as
the Helping Hands Committee Chair.
Chief Financial Officer – Michelle Thomas
Joined the League in 2006; employed as a Senior Finance Analyst with Carlson Companies;
previously served as the Treasurer.
Legal Advisor – Jennifer Hobbs
Joined the League in 2006; employed as a law clerk with the Hennepin County District Court
Judge; previously served as the New Member Committee Chair.
Sustainer President – Sue Eklund
Joined the League in 1986; employed as a Principal Advisor with the Change Integration
Agency; previously served as the Sustainer President-Elect.
Sustainer President-Elect – Jennifer Sawyer
Joined the League in 1995; is an entrepreneur and principal of Rebound Enterprises; previously
served on numerous JLM committees as an Active member.
VP Fundraising – Stephanie Ruppert
Joined the League in 2007; previously served as VP Membership.

Joined the League in 2007; co-owner of and Human Resource Manager at Klein McCarthy
Architects; previously served as the Between the Lines Committee Chair.
Sustainer Representative – Emily Adams Wagner
Joined the League in 1996; previously served in many leadership roles while being an Active
member.
VP Administration – Diane Douglas
Joined the League in 2006; employed as a Senior Designer of Grocery Trends with the Target
Corporation; previously served as the Special Events: Cookbook Committee Director.
VP Community – Sarah Curfman
Joined the League in 2004; employed as Managing Consultant, Nonprofit and Government with
Larson Allen; previously served as the One Night Fundraiser Committee Chair.
Recording Secretary – Beth Broich
Joined the League in 2003; previously served as the Kids in the Kitchen Committee Chair.
VP Membership – Elizabeth Bahra
Joined the League in 2006; employed as a Manager of Apparel with the Target Corporation and
owner of Bella Social; previously served as the American Girl Fashion Show Committee Co-
Chair.
Vice President of Marketing – Laura Ginsburg
Joined the League in 2008; employed as a Marketing Manager for Infor Global Solutions;
previously served as the Communications Committee Chair.

The Junior League of Minneapolis (JLM) is a nonprofit organization made up of women
committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the
community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Established in
1923, the JLM continues to develop projects to fill needs within the Minneapolis community.
Past projects include helping to found the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, Free Arts MN
and the Jeremiah Program. Current projects address issues from hunger to nutrition to literacy.
