<strong>Incoming</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Directors<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Incoming</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Directors will lead the <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> in its<br />

2011-12 <strong>League</strong> year<br />

MINNEAPOLIS (March 4, 2011) — <strong>The</strong> <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> announces a new Board<br />

<strong>of</strong> Directors for its 2011-12 <strong>League</strong> year.<br />

President – Suzie Wilmot<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 1999; employed as the International Tax Counsel with Pentair, Inc.;<br />

previously served as the President-Elect.<br />

President-Elect – Maggie Kirch<strong>of</strong>f<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2004; employed in finance with Target Corporation; previously served as<br />

the Helping Hands Committee Chair.<br />

Chief Financial Officer – Michelle Thomas<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2006; employed as a Senior Finance Analyst with Carlson Companies;<br />

previously served as the Treasurer.<br />

Legal Advisor – Jennifer Hobbs<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2006; employed as a law clerk with the Hennepin County District Court<br />

Judge; previously served as the New Member Committee Chair.<br />

Sustainer President – Sue Eklund<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 1986; employed as a Principal Advisor with the Change Integration<br />

Agency; previously served as the Sustainer President-Elect.<br />

Sustainer President-Elect – Jennifer Sawyer<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 1995; is an entrepreneur and principal <strong>of</strong> Rebound Enterprises; previously<br />

served on numerous <strong>JLM</strong> committees as an Active member.<br />

VP Fundraising – Stephanie Ruppert<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2007; previously served as VP Membership.<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2007; co-owner <strong>of</strong> and Human Resource Manager at Klein McCarthy<br />

Architects; previously served as the Between the Lines Committee Chair.<br />

Sustainer Representative – Emily Adams Wagner<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 1996; previously served in many leadership roles while being an Active<br />

member.<br />

VP Administration – Diane Douglas<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2006; employed as a Senior Designer <strong>of</strong> Grocery Trends with the Target<br />

Corporation; previously served as the Special Events: Cookbook Committee Director.<br />

VP Community – Sarah Curfman<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2004; employed as Managing Consultant, Nonpr<strong>of</strong>it and Government with<br />

Larson Allen; previously served as the One Night Fundraiser Committee Chair.<br />

Recording Secretary – Beth Broich<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2003; previously served as the Kids in the Kitchen Committee Chair.<br />

VP Membership – Elizabeth Bahra<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2006; employed as a Manager <strong>of</strong> Apparel with the Target Corporation and<br />

owner <strong>of</strong> Bella Social; previously served as the American Girl Fashion Show Committee Co-<br />

Chair.<br />

Vice President <strong>of</strong> Marketing – Laura Ginsburg<br />

Joined the <strong>League</strong> in 2008; employed as a Marketing Manager for Infor Global Solutions;<br />

previously served as the Communications Committee Chair.<br />

About the <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong><br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> (<strong>JLM</strong>) is a nonpr<strong>of</strong>it organization made up <strong>of</strong> women<br />

committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential <strong>of</strong> women and improving the<br />

community through the effective action and leadership <strong>of</strong> trained volunteers. Established in<br />

1923, the <strong>JLM</strong> continues to develop projects to fill needs within the <strong>Minneapolis</strong> community.<br />

Past projects include helping to found the Greater <strong>Minneapolis</strong> Crisis Nursery, Free Arts MN<br />

and the Jeremiah Program. Current projects address issues from hunger to nutrition to literacy.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> reaches out to women <strong>of</strong> all races, religions, and national<br />

origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. For more information<br />
