Directors<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> Directors will lead the <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> for the 2009-<br />

2010 league year<br />

MINNEAPOLIS (June 18, 2009) — <strong>The</strong> <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> announces their new<br />

board <strong>of</strong> directors for the 2009-2010 league year.<br />

President <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> Directors – Anna Lyon<br />

Joined the league in 1999; employed as General Manager <strong>of</strong> Midwest Global Accounts at<br />

InterCall; previously served as the president elect for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

President Elect <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> Directors – Sarah Borchers<br />

Joined the league in 2004; previously served as the VP Community for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Chief Financial Officer <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> Directors – Katy Farley<br />

Joined the league in 2005; employed as a Senior Investment Analyst at Travelers; previously<br />

served as the treasurer for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Legal Advisor – Jennifer Reusse<br />

Joined the league in 2006; employed as a real estate attorney at Moss & Barnett; previously<br />

served as the chair <strong>of</strong> the programs and arrangements committee for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Sustainer President – Cynthia A. Courtney<br />

<strong>League</strong> member for over 30 years; previously served as the Sustainer President Elect for the<br />

<strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Sustainer President Elect – Mary Cederberg<br />

Joined the league in 1987; currently also serves on the Greater <strong>Minneapolis</strong> Crisis Nursery<br />

<strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> Directors, previously served on the Sustainer <strong>Board</strong> as a Sustainer Representative to<br />

Project Development with the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

VP Fundraising – Lorie Gardner<br />

<strong>JLM</strong> member for 7 years; currently a commodities broker at I.T.T. Holdings, Corp; previously<br />

served on the Training and Leadership Development committee for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Joined the <strong>JLM</strong> in 1999; employed by Pentair, Inc. as the International Tax Counsel; previously<br />

served as the chair <strong>of</strong> the Eve <strong>of</strong> the Eve fundraiser for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Sustainer Representative - Lisa Weisman<br />

Joined the <strong>JLM</strong> in 1991; employed by YouthLink as a development associate, previously served<br />

as the Sustainer Representative to the Helping Hands Committee for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Vice President <strong>of</strong> Administration – Maggie Kirch<strong>of</strong>f<br />

Joined the <strong>JLM</strong> in 2004; employed as an Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers; previously<br />

served as the CFO <strong>of</strong> the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Vice President <strong>of</strong> Community – Rachel LaTour<br />

Joined the league in 2001; active volunteer with the Greater <strong>Minneapolis</strong> Crisis Nursery, Gilda’s<br />

Club and Second Harvest Heartland; previously served as the chair <strong>of</strong> the Training and<br />

Leadership Development Committee for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Recording Secretary - Kerry Mahoney<br />

Joined the league in 2003; employed as a Sales Manager for Clearfield; previously served as<br />

the chair the Special Events, Gifts and Grants Committee for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Vice President <strong>of</strong> Membership – Rachel Smith<br />

Joined the league in 2002; previously served as the Chair <strong>of</strong> the <strong>New</strong> Member Committee for<br />

the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

Vice President <strong>of</strong> Marketing – Leah Maki<br />

Joined the league in 2006; previously served as the Chair <strong>of</strong> the External Communications<br />

Committee for the <strong>JLM</strong>.<br />

About the <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong><br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> (<strong>JLM</strong>) is a nonpr<strong>of</strong>it organization made up <strong>of</strong> women<br />

committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential <strong>of</strong> women and improving the<br />

community through the effective action and leadership <strong>of</strong> trained volunteers. Established in<br />

1923, the <strong>JLM</strong> continues to develop projects to fill needs within the <strong>Minneapolis</strong> community.<br />

Past projects include helping to found the Greater <strong>Minneapolis</strong> Crisis Nursery, Free Arts MN<br />

and the Jeremiah Program. Current projects address issues from hunger to nutrition to literacy.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Junior</strong> <strong>League</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Minneapolis</strong> reaches out to women <strong>of</strong> all races, religions, and national<br />
