BADGER MIDDLE SCHOOL<br />
SPELLING BEE<br />
The annual BMS Spelling Bee<br />
was held January 26, <strong>2011</strong> with<br />
approximately forty students.<br />
The <strong>2011</strong> Spelling Bee<br />
Champion was fifth grader,<br />
Rebekah Stanhope (right).<br />
Katie Greskovich (left), eighth<br />
grader, was runner up.<br />
Rebekah represented <strong>Badger</strong><br />
Middle School in the Tribune Chronicle Spelling Bee were she placed 4th<br />
out <strong>of</strong> thirty-four students.<br />

goes down, or if you start receiving Food<br />
Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, OWF<br />
or other benefits. If you lose your job, your children may be able<br />
to get free or reduced price meals. Applications are available on our<br />
website, at each school <strong>of</strong>fice and at the end <strong>of</strong> this calendar.<br />
Income guidelines are also included with the application. If you<br />
have questions, please call 330-876-2810. ALL SCHOOL FEES<br />
WILL BE WAIVED FOR STUDENTS WHO SIGN UP AND QUALIFY FOR THE<br />
FREE OR REDUCED PRICE BREAKFAST/LUNCH PROGRAM.<br />
TEACHER QUALIFICATION NOTICE<br />
As a parent, you have the right to request<br />
information about the pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
qualifications <strong>of</strong> your child’s teacher and any<br />
teachers’ aides working with your child.<br />
Specifically, you may request information<br />
regarding the following items: the teacher’s<br />
certification/license qualifications, the status<br />
<strong>of</strong> the certificate/license (if it is emergency<br />
or provisional), and the subject areas <strong>of</strong> the teacher’s college degree and<br />
graduate school credit. If your child’s teacher is assisted by an<br />
instructional aide, you may also ask about the aide’s qualifications.<br />
ALL TEACHERS IN THE JOSEPH BADGER LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT MEET THE<br />
FEDERAL REQUIREMENT TO BE HIGHLY QUALIFIED. <strong>Joseph</strong> <strong>Badger</strong> is proud<br />
