SPELLING BEE
The annual BMS Spelling Bee
was held January 26, 2011 with
approximately forty students.
The 2011 Spelling Bee
Champion was fifth grader,
Rebekah Stanhope (right).
Katie Greskovich (left), eighth
grader, was runner up.
Rebekah represented Badger
Middle School in the Tribune Chronicle Spelling Bee were she placed 4th
out of thirty-four students.

Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, OWF
or other benefits. If you lose your job, your children may be able
to get free or reduced price meals. Applications are available on our
website, at each school office and at the end of this calendar.
Income guidelines are also included with the application. If you
have questions, please call 330-876-2810. ALL SCHOOL FEES
WILL BE WAIVED FOR STUDENTS WHO SIGN UP AND QUALIFY FOR THE
FREE OR REDUCED PRICE BREAKFAST/LUNCH PROGRAM.
TEACHER QUALIFICATION NOTICE
As a parent, you have the right to request
information about the professional
qualifications of your child’s teacher and any
teachers’ aides working with your child.
Specifically, you may request information
regarding the following items: the teacher’s
certification/license qualifications, the status
of the certificate/license (if it is emergency
or provisional), and the subject areas of the teacher’s college degree and
graduate school credit. If your child’s teacher is assisted by an
instructional aide, you may also ask about the aide’s qualifications.
ALL TEACHERS IN THE JOSEPH BADGER LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT MEET THE
FEDERAL REQUIREMENT TO BE HIGHLY QUALIFIED. Joseph Badger is proud
of our staff. Our teachers are committed to their profession and the
