Employment news<br />

Following is information regarding new employees.<br />

Two new full-time employees have accepted positions with the<br />

college.<br />

Bev Benge, coordinator of business development for Corporate<br />

and Continuing Education and marketing and public information.<br />

Richard Schultz, coordinator of the Sustainability Center for the<br />

sustainability and planning department.<br />

In the coming weeks, there will be a longer introduction of Bev and<br />

Richard.<br />

Here's more about James Carr, Charles Cruz, and Emily Skelly,<br />

who were introduced in the Sept. 15 <strong>Update</strong>.<br />

James Carr is a custodian for Physical Plant Department.<br />

In this position, his area of responsibility is the activities building<br />

and the Fitness Center.<br />

Previously, James worked as a substitute custodian for District<br />

111. He also is continuing in his part-time job in the construction<br />

industry.<br />

At KCC, James participated in an apprenticeship program in the<br />

1980s where he learned painting, wallpapering and other skills.<br />

James can be reached at ext. 8174.<br />

Charles Cruz is a custodian for Physical Plant<br />

Department.<br />

In this position, his area of responsibility is the<br />

Health Careers Center for Excellence.<br />

Previously, Charles was a part-time custodian for<br />

KCC and he also worked at Jewel.<br />

One of Charles' sons is currently attending KCC,<br />

studying electronics technology.
