Emily Skelly is a specialist III for institutional<br />

effectiveness.<br />

In this position, she will assist with filling data<br />

requests as well as gathering data for Illinois<br />

<strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Board reports and management<br />

information system reports. Emily also will be involved<br />

in initiatives related to institutional effectiveness, such as the strategic<br />

planning process and implementing the Class Climate survey<br />

software.<br />

Previously, Emily worked for People Etc. in <strong>Kankakee</strong> as a human<br />

resource specialist.<br />

She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Illinois State<br />

University in Normal and a master's degree in professional<br />

counseling from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais.<br />

Her office is currently in Room D117 and her phone is ext. 8257.<br />

Please note, the correct title for Marie Ferrias is as-needed<br />

academic adviser for Student Services; effective Sept. 2. Previously,<br />

Marie was an instructor for the Upward Bound program.<br />

Information on mileage rate and insurance proof<br />

Effective Oct. 1, <strong>2008</strong>, the mileage reimbursement rate for<br />

approved college travel will be 50 cents per mile.<br />

Please adjust travel reimbursement claims accordingly.<br />

Also, for college insurance purposes, the business office regularly<br />

obtains proof of automobile insurance from employees who use their<br />

own vehicles for college business. Proof of insurance, typically<br />

submitted with initial travel reimbursement claims, is required for<br />

reimbursement of expenses. It is not necessary to submit the proof<br />

every time because the business office keeps a log of submitted<br />

cards and informs the employee when a new card copy is needed.<br />

The copies of cards are secured in the business office for<br />

insurance audit purposes. Questions regarding this process may be<br />
