and Strategies with QNDS <strong>2011</strong>-2016<br />

its customers and stakeholders, enhance<br />
the internal management processes,<br />
and show devotion to its mission<br />
of providing sustainable electricity and<br />
water services, <strong>KAHRAMAA</strong> presents<br />
its major economic, environmental, social, and<br />
human impacts. We find it significant to give<br />
a full and up-to-date portrait of our major activities<br />
and performance for the year <strong>2011</strong>, as<br />
well as our future plans and projects. It demonstrates<br />
our commitment to Qatar National<br />
Vision (QNV) 2030 and Qatar National development<br />
Strategy (QNDS) <strong>2011</strong> – 2016 in a way<br />
that is transparent, credible and internationally<br />
benchmarked. <strong>KAHRAMAA</strong> President, H.E.<br />
Eng. Essa Hilal Al-Kuwari is the right person to<br />
interview in this contest.<br />
H.E. President, how do you find <strong>KAHRAMAA</strong><br />
performance in <strong>2011</strong>, are you satisfied with<br />
it?<br />
It is my pleasure to mark <strong>KAHRAMAA</strong> success<br />
in maintaining its high performance it showed<br />
in 2010 especially in Summer. We managed<br />
to provide all sectors with electricity and water<br />
supplies in spite of their noticeable growth.<br />
<strong>KAHRAMAA</strong> has witnessed growth at all areas<br />
of business. It is reflected positively on the<br />
continuity of services at peak demand times.<br />
Statistics shows that at the end of November<br />
<strong>2011</strong>, <strong>KAHRAMAA</strong> managed to serve 272,159<br />
electricity customers and 225, 821 water customers.<br />
Electricity customer increased by 16%<br />
and water’s by 21.6% compared with 2010.<br />
QNDS <strong>2011</strong> -2016 was announced in <strong>2011</strong>,<br />
all sectors are directed to ensure the alignment<br />
of plans with QNV 2030 and QNDS,<br />
what about <strong>KAHRAMAA</strong>?<br />
<strong>KAHRAMAA</strong> five year plans goes in line with<br />
