Warren Clarke, who plays
Andy Dalziel on the hit series
Dalziel and Pascoe, has been
a regular on British television
since the 1970s. His acting
talent shows in his convincing
portrayal of the blunt-talking,
politically incorrect Dalziel.
Warren claims to be nothing
like his on-screen character:
“The man’s a chauvinist pig
whose idea of a good night out
is swilling back ten pints in the
pub with his supper waiting
for him and the little woman
tucked up in bed with a welcoming
smile.” Warren says
he prefers to hit the pub with
his wife. Despite his lugubrious
looks, he admits that he
receives his fair share of saucy
letters from admiring women.
One even sent a picture of
herself in the nude!
