Tie Braking Procedure:<br />

4 Pool Procedures:<br />

Top 2 in each pool advance.<br />

If 2 teams are tied for first place, winner in round robin play between tied teams finishes first.<br />

If 2 teams are tied for second place, then a one game 21-point play-off will be played to decide second<br />

place.<br />

If 3 teams are tied for first place, points for and against decide first place between the 3 tied teams<br />

involved. The other 2 teams will play-off a one 21-point game for second place.<br />

If 3 or more teams are tied for second place, points for and against between the tied teams will decide<br />

who receives a bye, the teams will then play-off a one 21-point games starting from the lowest finished<br />

teams determined by point for and against . The winner immediately plays the next team who<br />

received the bye for second place.<br />

Avoid 1 st round playoff matches between players from the same school in the 1 st round by placing them<br />

in appropriate pools<br />

Pool A plays Pool D; Pool B plays Pool C<br />

ex: A1 vs D4<br />

A2 vs D3<br />

D1 vs A4<br />

D2 vs A3<br />

Top 4 in each pool advance based on number of wins.<br />

If ties are encountered, advancement will be based on games played between teams in the round<br />

robin. If ties are still encountered, advancement will be based on points for and against between the<br />

tied teams.<br />

If 3 or more teams are tied for second, third or fourth place, points for and against between the tied<br />

teams will decide who receives a bye, the teams will then play-off a one 21-point games starting from<br />

the lowest finished teams determined by points for and against. The winner immediately plays the next<br />

team who received the bye for that specific place.<br />

If 2 teams are tied for fourth place, then a one game 21-point play-off will be played to decide fourth<br />

place.<br />

If ties are still encountered, advancement will be based on points for and against between from the<br />

whole round robin.<br />

team who received the bye for that specific place.<br />

If 2 teams are tied for eighth place, then a one game 21-point play-off will be played to decide fourth<br />

place.<br />

*a player/team will not be eliminated from advancing to the playoffs by points for and against. A playoff<br />

game will determine advancement.<br />
