Management of the Group anticipates that the adoption of these Standards where applicable and once they<br />

become effective in future periods will not have a material financial impact on the consolidated financial<br />

statements of the Group in the period of initial application.<br />

3. SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES<br />

Statement of compliance<br />

These consolidated financial statements have been prepared in accordance with International Financial<br />

Reporting Standards and the applicable requirements of Ministerial order No. 18 of 1990.<br />

Basis of preparation<br />

These consolidated financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The<br />

principal accounting policies are set out below.<br />

Basis of consolidation<br />

These consolidated financial statements incorporate the financial statements of the Company and entities<br />

controlled by the Company (its subsidiaries) (See note 25). Control is achieved where the Company has the<br />

power to govern the financial and operating policies of an entity so as to obtain benefits from its activities.<br />
