Cultural landscapes are geographical areas that have been modified, influenced or given<br />
meaning by people, and that have been formally recognized for their heritage value. As<br />
landscape architects, our role is to interpret and connect these valued land use histories<br />
through contemporary design.<br />
The integration of character-defining elements and land patterns is<br />
a process respecting spatial and visual relationships and traditional<br />
practices. The resulting landscape preserves existing value and adds<br />
meaning to the user experience.
