When installing the Maintenance Release TeMIP Framework V5 Patch 4 for Tru64,
Orbix E2A ASP 6.1 becomes the official Orbix version used by the TAL Orbix
Server FM. However, Orbix E2A ASP 5.1.2 is still mandatory and must be
installed before Orbix E2A ASP 6.1.
Orbix E2A ASP 5.1.2 continues to be delivered in order CORBA AMs can continue
running using this Orbix version.
3.3.1.3 TFR Orbix E2A ASP 6.1 Runtime additional subset
TFRITORT512V500 subset must have already been installed.
Install manually TeMIP Framework Orbix E2A ASP 6.1 Runtime (it is not part of
the TeMIP Framework V5.0 Patch 4 for Tru64), if not already installed. Execute
following command:
3.3.1.4 JAVA131 Subset
setld -D /usr/opt/TeMIP -l /TFRITORT610V500
This subset is needed for the Orbix configuration tool.
If it has not yet been installed, install the JAVA131 kit with following commands:
cd /tmp
cp xvf /JAVA131-4.tar .
tar xvf JAVA131-4.tar
setld –l /tmp/131-4
This kit should not be installed under the TeMIP release tree.
If you need to use System Mate tools, this version should not be set as the default
version, the default version must remain java122. See Section 6.5.1.
3.3.2 Installation of the Maintenance Patch using TeMIP
SystemMate
Important Note
Due to problem PR#21680, the TeMIP Framework V5 Patch 4 for Tru64 kit
cannot be installed using TeMIP SystemMate. See PR#21680.
If you need to install this kit using TeMIP SystemMate, please contact the
TeMIP Support (e-mail: VBETEMIPSUPP@hp.com ) to get a patch for this
problem.
Note
If a TFR V5.0 director was already configured, it is highly recommended to import
the new Bundle configurations and services delivered with the TeMIP Framework
V5.0 Patch 4 for Tru64 with the following commands:
# /usr/opt/SystemMate/bin/stm_import /cdrom/TeMIP-V50A-UNIX/INST
# /usr/opt/SystemMate/bin/stm_import /cdrom/TeMIP-V50A-jNIX/INSTALL/*.jar
These commands save the previous version of the .dar and .jar files in a backup
directory (/var/opt/SystemMate/client/backup).
