APPOINTMENT OF OIC POLYCLINIC
1. Further to our letter No B/49722/AG/ECHS dated 10 Nov 2004 and even No dated 10 Sep
2004.
2. This office is receiving many querries regarding educational qualification for appointment of
OIC Polyclinic.
3. As per Govt of India, Department of Personnel & A.R. Min of Home Affairs letter No
39016/7/78-Estt© dated 10 May 1979 the qualification of GRADUATE may not be insisted upon as
this has been relaxed in respect of those commissioned officers who passes out of NDA/IMA
before the decision was taken by Jawahar Lal Nehru University to re-cognize their qualification as
equivalent to university degree. This is further subject to the condition that the candidate was
holding regular commissioned rank in the Armed Forces for a minimum period of 5 years, the
record of military service was satisfactory and he is otherwise considered suitable for appointment
to the post by the Board of Officers.
4. In view of the above, any commissioned officer meeting the requirement stated in Para 3
above may be considered for the Post of OIC, ECHS Polyclinic. However, only retired service
officers who are drawing PENSION will be eligible for the above appointment. In this connection,
your attention is invited to Para 4(a) of our letter No B/49722/AG/ECHS dated 10 Sep 2004.
