<strong>ECHS</strong> MEMBERSHIP TO NEPAL DOMICILED GORKHAS (NDGs)<br />
1. The case for extension of <strong>ECHS</strong> in India to Nepal Domicile Gorkhas (NDGs) was taken up by<br />
Central Org <strong>ECHS</strong> with the Govt. During 11 th meeting of the Managing Committee of the Armed Forces<br />
Flag Day Fund held on 05 Nov 08, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri had granted in principle approval for grant<br />
of membership to all NDGs with the provision that the treatment would have to be availed in India only.<br />
2. Presently the case is under process at MoD. A Cabinet Note is being prepared by MoD for<br />
approval of the Govt. Thereafter, formal govt orders would be issued on the subject.<br />
3. The applications for membership are to be accepted only after Govt letter is issued.<br />
4. All concerned units/agencies are therefore informed accordingly.<br />
