<strong>ECHS</strong> MEMBERSHIP TO TERRITORIAL ARMY PERSONNEL<br />
1. Please refer to this org letter No B/49764/AG/<strong>ECHS</strong> dated 10 Oct 2003.<br />
2. The Commanding Officer of the last unit is responsible for forwarding the <strong>ECHS</strong> application of<br />
eligible TA personnel to respective Record offices six months before retirement. Record office is<br />
authorised to sign the receipt which is valid upto six months for treatment in Polyclinic. Procedure of<br />
forwarding of applications is similar to serving personnel of the three services. However, cards may be<br />
issued only after PPOs are recd.<br />
3. Record office is responsible to check/confirm the <strong>eligibility</strong> conditions and ensure deduction of<br />
<strong>ECHS</strong> contribution in PPO as well as issue smart card (s) to individual.<br />
4. The above may please be given wide publicity.<br />
