Dear Parents:<br />
Welcome to <strong>Moon</strong> <strong>Area</strong> <strong>Middle</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong> <strong>Program</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Studies</strong><br />
Handbook. We are thrilled<br />
and excited to welcome you to our new<br />
middle school. The staff and I have<br />
been working diligently to establish<br />
a curriculum for Grades 5-8 that will<br />
meet and enhance the many learning<br />
demands and challenges middle<br />
school students face.<br />
This <strong>Program</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Studies</strong> has been compiled in an effort to acquaint<br />
you with the course <strong>of</strong>ferings for the <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>2013</strong> school year. Our goal<br />
is to provide a quality education in a safe learning environment where<br />
our students can develop good study habits and become independent<br />
learners and thinkers who are able to develop useful skills that will<br />
prepare them for the academic challenges ahead.<br />
We are committed to working with you, your child, fellow teachers,<br />
and the community at large, to help your child learn, grow, and develop<br />
into a lifelong learner.<br />
