Acharya Nagarjuna University 11 Centre for Distance Education 3.1 GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : 1. There is no upper age restriction for admission into any course. 2. Students who were awarded bachelors degrees from Universities other than Acharya Nagarjuna University are required to pay Rs.100/- extra towards Recognition Fee. Transfer and Migration Certificates need not be submitted for admission. However, candidates desirous of obtaining TC from the CDE shall have to submit proof of date of birth. 3. Candidates from any part of India will be given admission based on the requisite qualifications mentioned for the course, provided they select one of the study centres in Andhra Pradesh and personally attend and write their examinations at the allotted Examination Centre till they complete the course. 4. Candidates from abroad are also eligible for admission into all the courses provided: a) They fulfill the requisite qualifying requirements mentioned for the courses. b) They furnish an address in India for correspondence and dispatch of study material and any other information. c) CDE does not entertain any correspondence on foreign address. d) They should personally attend and write their examinations at the allotted Examination Centre till they complete the course. 3.2 PG SCIENCE COURSES 3.2.1 M.Sc. BOTANY (Course Code :01) a. Eligibility for admission into the Course: A pass in B.Sc. with Botany as one of the subjects. b. Duration of the Course : Two Years. c. Medium of Instruction : English only. d. Course of Study : At the end of the first year, the candidate has to appear for the M.Sc Botany previous examination. The previous examination consists of four Theory Papers and two Practical Papers and final year examination consists of four Theory Papers and two Practical Papers as given in the course structure. Each paper carries 100 marks without any internal assessment component. The duration of examination for Theory Papers will be three hours and for Practical examination the duration will be four hours. M.Sc. BOTANY COURSE STRUCTURE: PAPER CODE SUBJECT MAX.
