Ambedkar Law College, Hyderabad. 3.7 ONE YEAR / PG DIPLOMA COURSES : Students must note that the Examinations for Certificate/Diploma/PG Diploma/BLISC courses will be held in the University Campus or at Guntur only. 3.7.1 B.L.I.Sc. (BACHELOR OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE)(Course Code :80) a. Eligibility for admission into Course : The candidate should have passed any Bachelors Degree of this University or that of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto other than BOL and BFA. b. Duration of the Course : One year. c. Medium of instruction: The medium of instruction for the contact programme classes and the self instructional reading material suplied by the Centre for Distance Education will be in English only. However, the candidate may write their examinations in Telug Medium also. d. Course of Study : At the end of the year, the candidate has to appear for the B.L.I.Sc. examination. The examination consists of Six theory papers and Two Practical papers as given in the course structure. Each theory paper / practical paper carries 100 marks with internal assessment component. Every candidate must undergo One week compulsory Internship in a Library. B.L.I.Sc. Examination centre : Examinations will be held only at Acharya Nagarjuna University campus at Guntur only. 3.7.2. PGDBT (PG Diploma in Biotechnology) (Course Code :82) Note : 1. If adequate number of students are not enrolled, the University reservers the right to withdraw this course. 2. If adequate number of students are not enrolled in any particular study centre, they will be allotted to other study centres where the course is offered. 3. Students are advised to consult the study centre before applying for any course regarding the availability of that course in that study centre. 4. Arrangement of classes is subject to the enrollment of minimum number of students for a particular course and in a particular centre. a. Eligibility: Any graduate in Biological and physical sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Veterinary Science and other allied subjects. b. Duration of the Course: One year c. Medium of Study: English only. d. Course of Study: At the end of the year, the candidate has to appear for the PG Diploma in Biotechnology Examinations. The Examination consists of four theory papers, one Practical paper and Project work. PGDBT Course Structure: PAPER CODE SUBJECT MAX. Fee structure: Refer Annexure - II f. List of Study centres : Refer Annexure - I g. Examination centre : Examinations will be held only at Acharya Nagarjuna University campus at Guntur only. h. Project Work : ● The project work has to be carried out in an established institute, University, Laboratory, Industry or in a affiliated P.G. or Degree College. ● The project work has to be carried out under the guidance of lecturer or scientist or technical person of the respective organization.
