MEET THE GGSB ENTREPRENEURS! SUCCESS STORIES……
From Solveig Krey, MBA 2003…First woman ever to command a submarine
Solveig Krey patrols the fjords of Norway in the Kobben S318, a
cucumber-shaped war machine that packs 21 wire-guided torpedoes
in its bow tubes and an all-male crew, which this writer joined to
provide a first-hand report.
Solveig Krey is currently working as an exchange officer in the French
Naval Staff in Toulon together with officers from other NATO
countries.
She also served on board the French aircraft carrier "Charles de
Gaulle" last winter.
After her MBA at GGSB in 2003 she returned back to Norway and
the Navy for a job.
She commuted between Norway, the job in Oslo and then in Stavanger, and her home in the Grenoble region for
more than four years.
In 2012, after three years of experience with the French Navy in Toulon, she returns back to Norway again where she
will continue her career in the Navy and in the Armed Forces.

Dear GGSB students and Alumni members,
I am delighted to have an opportunity to share my experience about
GGSB with you. I would like to speak a little bit about my success
story after graduation and how the university helped me in this
success.
First of all I would like to highlight that GGSB is not just a university
or school, not just some time spent with books, even if I did this a lot.
I believe that GGSB is the community where you acquire the skills of
leadership, entrepreneurship and intercultural relations. It prepares
you to live in the real business oriented world. By inspiring you not to
ever give up, it shows you that there are always alternative ways of
reaching your goals. Of course the main point is to have an ambition for attaining your dreams and to work for that.
I’m addressing all of you from very small part of the world - the country of
Georgia. It had difficult times during recent years, but by progressive reforms
of leading government and business organizations it is really becoming a part
of dynamically developing world. Living here with my young family - wife and
two children, I am the founder and managing partner of the company Adress,
which operates on Georgian cloth retail market since 2007 and employs 95
staff members as of today.
Representing 7 international brands exclusively with 11 stores, the
company has become a market leader in its field. Despite of the world economic and local crisis address kept
development and is still keeping progress.
I started my business right after graduation of the first year of GGSB MIB. I am sure that you are familiar with most of
the brands of our portfolio, even more, you are costumers of them. These are Celio, Tom Tailor, Etam, Promod,
Gerry Weber, 1.2.3 and DPAM. I opened my first store in December 2007 and since then we are keeping growth and
development.
I got an inspiration to start this business from one of the assignments of module - International Business. We
