CORPORATE PROFILE<br />
Based on the Group’s vision “To Be the Best in All We Do”, S P <strong>Setia</strong>’s<br />
commitment to excellence has won the Group recognition as Malaysia’s No. 1<br />
Property Developer for the 4th consecutive year from 2005 - 2008 as ranked<br />
by The Edge, Malaysia’s leading business weekly.<br />
Other achievements in property development include numerous landscape<br />
awards at state and national levels over the years as well as winning the FIABCI<br />
Malaysia Property Award in 2006 for <strong>Setia</strong> Eco Park, Shah Alam in the Master<br />
Plan Category and Duta Nusantara, Kuala Lumpur in the Low-Rise Residential<br />
Development Category. In 2007 <strong>Setia</strong> Eco Park went on to win the coveted<br />
FIABCI International Prix d’Excellence Award conferred in Barcelona, Spain.<br />
In 2008, <strong>Setia</strong> Eco Gardens, Johor won the Best Office Award at the Inaugural<br />
Cityscape Asia Real Estate Awards 2008 as well as the Fiabci Malaysia Property<br />
Award 2008 in the Master Plan Category. In the same year, S P <strong>Setia</strong> was also<br />
recognised by the World Quality Commitment Body in Paris for its outstanding<br />
commitment to Quality and Excellence, receiving an International Gold Star Award.<br />
Apart from the Group’s property development awards, it has also made it to<br />
the Hewitt Best Employers list twice. The first was in 2003 where S P <strong>Setia</strong><br />
was named one of the top 10 Best Employers in Malaysia and 2005 where<br />
the Group emerged as one of the top three employers – the only Malaysian<br />
company amongst the three with the other two being multinationals.<br />
Today, the Group is well-established in all the three key economic centres of<br />
Malaysia, namely Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Penang. Currently, it has 10<br />
active projects under development with another 10 new projects lined up for<br />
launching in the near future. In the Klang Valley, S P <strong>Setia</strong> enjoys a strong<br />
presence through its flagship projects in Shah Alam which encompasses the<br />
2,525-acre <strong>Setia</strong> Alam and 791-acre <strong>Setia</strong> Eco Park. In Kuala Lumpur, S P<br />
<strong>Setia</strong> is known for its three high-end projects; two in Sri Hartamas which are<br />
Duta Nusantara and Duta Tropika and <strong>Setia</strong>hills in Ampang. In Johor Bahru, it<br />
has made its mark through signature developments such as Bukit Indah Johor<br />
and <strong>Setia</strong> Eco Gardens in the Nusajaya Corridor, <strong>Setia</strong> Indah Johor in Tebrau<br />
and <strong>Setia</strong> Tropika in Kempas. In tandem with its expansion exercise, the Group<br />
ventured into Penang with the launch of its maiden project, <strong>Setia</strong> Pearl Island<br />
located at Bayan Lepas. Leveraging on the strong demand for commercial and<br />
investment grade properties, S P <strong>Setia</strong> has also expanded into the commercial<br />
sector with its first mixed-used development called <strong>Setia</strong>Walk in Puchong and<br />
will be venturing its first into high-end condominium project called <strong>Setia</strong> Sky<br />
Residences in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.<br />
Overseas, the Group has a project in Vietnam called <strong>Setia</strong> EcoLakes. The<br />
residential project is a joint venture between Vietnam’s top state-owned<br />
conglomerate, Becamex IDC Corp. Vietnam is the first cross-border investment<br />
destination for S P <strong>Setia</strong>, marking the start of a new phase of growth to boost<br />
its international profile and enhance future earnings stream.
