72 general horse show rules and regulations - Kentucky State Fair

Quarter Horse
This show will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations
of the American Quarter Horse Association, the National Cutting Horse
Association, the National Reining Horse Association and the Kentucky
Association of Fairs and Horse Shows.
1. Read General Horse Show Rules and Regulations on pages 72-74
for additional Quarter Horse Rules.
2. Entry Closing Date - All entries must be postmarked on or before
Tuesday, July 9, 2012. Postage meter date not accepted.
3. Post Entries will be accepted by payment of $25.00 late fee per horse,
plus regular class fees. Late entries must be made NO LATER than
6:00 p.m. prior to the day of the class to enter.
4. Post Entries - Team Penning - Entries will be accepted with double
entry fee until 6:00 p.m. the day before the class is to be held.
5. Post Entries - Ranch Sorting - Entries will be accepted with double
entry fee until 6:00 p.m. the day before the class is to be held.
6. Cutting Entries - Entries will be accepted (with entry fee and
$100.00 late fee) until the day before the class is to be held. Entry
closing date Monday, July 23, 2012.
7. Roping Post Entries will be double only on the office charges.
8. Youth Package $75.00 - Youth entries received by Tuesday, July 9,
2012 may pay a fee of $75.00 which includes stall fee and entry into
as many events in the AQHA Youth Shows as each horse may wish to
enter. Individual classes may be entered at regular entry. This $75.00
package applies only to advance entries. Post entries are the regular
entry fees and $25.00 late fee charge. The $10.00 Drug Fee is NOT
included in the $75.00 Youth Package. Must put class numbers on entry
form.
9. Entry Forms - The entry forms must contain all information
requested, including complete mailing address, social security number
and signature. Your entry form must be neat and correct. Entries
should be mailed to Kentucky State Fair, Quarter Horse Show, PO
Box 37130, Louisville, KY 40233. Additional entry blanks may be
obtained by writing to the above address or by calling (502) 367-5300,
FAX (502) 367-5305. Catalogs and entry forms will also be on our
web site www.kyfairexpo.org.
a. No entries will be accepted by telephone, but completed
entry form may be faxed using credit card payment
(Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express). DO
NOT duplicate entry by faxing and mailing.
b. Full payment of entry fees, stall fees and drug fees required or
entries will not be accepted.
c. Copies of registration papers and your membership card must be
sent in with your entry blank. Exhibitors in AQHA classes must
be members of AQHA or AQHYA. Amateur entries must hold
valid AQHA Amateur Card. Novice Exhibitors must provide
copies of both sides of membership card. Memberships may
be purchased at the show office. (Bring originals to the show.)
Fill out entry blank completely. NCHA, NRHA, NSBA and
NRCHA membership may be purchased at the show office.
10. Registration papers must be seen for all horses, except those shown
in Open Performance classes, as well as current membership cards.
