Quarter Horse<br />

This <strong>show</strong> will be conducted in accordance with the <strong>rules</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>regulations</strong><br />

of the American Quarter Horse Association, the National Cutting Horse<br />

Association, the National Reining Horse Association <strong>and</strong> the <strong>Kentucky</strong><br />

Association of <strong>Fair</strong>s <strong>and</strong> Horse Shows.<br />

1. Read General Horse Show Rules <strong>and</strong> Regulations on pages <strong>72</strong>-74<br />

for additional Quarter Horse Rules.<br />

2. Entry Closing Date - All entries must be postmarked on or before<br />

Tuesday, July 9, 2012. Postage meter date not accepted.<br />

3. Post Entries will be accepted by payment of $25.00 late fee per <strong>horse</strong>,<br />

plus regular class fees. Late entries must be made NO LATER than<br />

6:00 p.m. prior to the day of the class to enter.<br />

4. Post Entries - Team Penning - Entries will be accepted with double<br />

entry fee until 6:00 p.m. the day before the class is to be held.<br />

5. Post Entries - Ranch Sorting - Entries will be accepted with double<br />

entry fee until 6:00 p.m. the day before the class is to be held.<br />

6. Cutting Entries - Entries will be accepted (with entry fee <strong>and</strong><br />

$100.00 late fee) until the day before the class is to be held. Entry<br />

closing date Monday, July 23, 2012.<br />

7. Roping Post Entries will be double only on the office charges.<br />

8. Youth Package $75.00 - Youth entries received by Tuesday, July 9,<br />

2012 may pay a fee of $75.00 which includes stall fee <strong>and</strong> entry into<br />

as many events in the AQHA Youth Shows as each <strong>horse</strong> may wish to<br />

enter. Individual classes may be entered at regular entry. This $75.00<br />

package applies only to advance entries. Post entries are the regular<br />

entry fees <strong>and</strong> $25.00 late fee charge. The $10.00 Drug Fee is NOT<br />

included in the $75.00 Youth Package. Must put class numbers on entry<br />

form.<br />

9. Entry Forms - The entry forms must contain all information<br />

requested, including complete mailing address, social security number<br />

<strong>and</strong> signature. Your entry form must be neat <strong>and</strong> correct. Entries<br />

should be mailed to <strong>Kentucky</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>Fair</strong>, Quarter Horse Show, PO<br />

Box 37130, Louisville, KY 40233. Additional entry blanks may be<br />

obtained by writing to the above address or by calling (502) 367-5300,<br />

FAX (502) 367-5305. Catalogs <strong>and</strong> entry forms will also be on our<br />

web site www.kyfairexpo.org.<br />

a. No entries will be accepted by telephone, but completed<br />

entry form may be faxed using credit card payment<br />

(Visa, MasterCard, Discover <strong>and</strong> American Express). DO<br />

NOT duplicate entry by faxing <strong>and</strong> mailing.<br />

b. Full payment of entry fees, stall fees <strong>and</strong> drug fees required or<br />

entries will not be accepted.<br />

c. Copies of registration papers <strong>and</strong> your membership card must be<br />

sent in with your entry blank. Exhibitors in AQHA classes must<br />

be members of AQHA or AQHYA. Amateur entries must hold<br />

valid AQHA Amateur Card. Novice Exhibitors must provide<br />

copies of both sides of membership card. Memberships may<br />

be purchased at the <strong>show</strong> office. (Bring originals to the <strong>show</strong>.)<br />

Fill out entry blank completely. NCHA, NRHA, NSBA <strong>and</strong><br />

NRCHA membership may be purchased at the <strong>show</strong> office.<br />

10. Registration papers must be seen for all <strong>horse</strong>s, except those <strong>show</strong>n<br />

in Open Performance classes, as well as current membership cards.<br />
