ARTICLE 4<br />
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT<br />
4.0 PURPOSE<br />
The purpose of the Agricultural District is to provide for, and maintain, the rural areas of<br />
the Township for agriculture and agricultural-related pursuits and should not be<br />
developed for urban purposes.<br />
4.1 PERMITTED USES<br />
The following uses and no other shall be permitted in all Agricultural Districts:<br />
4.1.1 Any agricultural use including farming, dairying, pasturage, agriculture,<br />
horticulture, foresting, floriculture, viticulture, animal and poultry husbandry,<br />
and mineral mining licensed by the State of Ohio;<br />
4.1.2 Single family dwelling, but excluding tents, cabins, trailers, trailer coaches,<br />
and mobile homes, shall be allowed as a conditional use in an Agricultural<br />
District provided the dwelling is placed on a lot the minimum size of which is<br />
to be two and one-half (2 1/2) acres;<br />
4.1.3 Residential related accessory buildings and uses shall be allowed as a<br />
secondary use in an Agricultural District;<br />
4.1.4 Publicly owned and operated buildings and facilities;<br />
4.1.5 Schools; and,<br />
4.1.6 Public parks and community centers less than five (5) acres in size.<br />
4.2 CONDITIONAL USES - WITH APPROVAL BY THE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING<br />
APPEALS AFTER A PUBLIC HEARING<br />
4.2.1 Country clubs, private clubs or lodges, golf courses and similar uses shall be<br />
allowed as a conditional use in an Agricultural District provided:<br />
a. No structure or recreation area shall be placed a distance of less than<br />
one hundred (100) feet from any lot line.<br />
4.2.2 Commercial stables shall be allowed as a conditional use:<br />
a. Any land or building used for the stabling, keeping, exercising, pasturing,<br />
corralling or any other purpose for the raising of or caring for horses shall<br />
be located at least one hundred (100) feet from an adjoining property line;<br />
b. That the lands and buildings used for such proposes be kept clean and in<br />
a sanitary condition;<br />
c. Facilities shall encompass at least twenty (20) acres in size; and,<br />
