FUNCTIONALITY
Assure for PowerScribe 360 | Reporting includes
the ability to check the following categories:
• Laterality Consistency – Identify potential
left/right mismatches within the report and
exam order. Assure intelligently understands
the relationship of anatomy. For example,
an exam for an x-ray of the left foot, would
highlight a discrepancy with a mention
of “right ankle” but would not highlight a
discrepancy with the mention of a “right
shoulder.”
• Gender Consistency – Identify potential
male/female mismatches and references to
anatomy that do not match the patient gender.
Assure understands the context of the report,
especially in regard to references of relatives
and family history. Gender-based terms are
based on over 1,000 SNOMED concepts
specific to female anatomy and over 600
SNOMED concepts specific to male anatomy.
• Critical Results – Identify references to
critical results in the report to ensure they’ve
been addressed. The list of critical results is
based on Massachusetts Coalition for the
Prevention of Medical Errors.
