Fees<br />
GENERAL FEE INFORMATION<br />
The correct fee to collect for any transaction depends on the type <strong>of</strong> vehicle <strong>and</strong> the type <strong>of</strong> transaction being<br />
done. The correct fee should be collected for each transaction type included on the application. The most<br />
common transaction types are:<br />
• <strong>Title</strong> transfer<br />
• <strong>Registration</strong> (original or renewal)<br />
• Plate replacement<br />
• Plate transfer<br />
The following examples illustrate several types <strong>of</strong> transactions.<br />
If you are submitting an application for a vehicle with an out-<strong>of</strong>-state title <strong>and</strong> issuing Salmon plates, you should<br />
collect the following fees for the transaction:<br />
<strong>Title</strong> fee (new to <strong>Oregon</strong> vehicle)<br />
+VIN inspection fee<br />
+Salmon surcharge for one or two plates<br />
+Plate fee for one or two plates<br />
+<strong>Registration</strong> fee for the vehicle type<br />
=Total fee<br />
If you are submitting an application for a vehicle with a current <strong>Oregon</strong> title, renewing the registration, <strong>and</strong><br />
replacing the plates with Graphic (tree) plates you should collect the following fees for the transaction:<br />
<strong>Title</strong> fee (<strong>Oregon</strong> title transfer)<br />
+At-renewal replacement plate fee<br />
+Plate fee for one or two plates<br />
+Renewal (registration) fee for the vehicle type<br />
=Total fee<br />
