In Mark 14:50, it says the disciples foresook<br />
Jesus and f<strong>led</strong>. Even Peter foresook Jesus after the<br />
cock crowed three ti<strong>me</strong>s as Jesus fore<strong>to</strong>ld:<br />
(Matthew 26:75) And Peter re<strong>me</strong>mbered the<br />
word of Jesus, which said un<strong>to</strong> him, "Before the<br />
cock crow, thou shalt deny <strong>me</strong> thrice. And he<br />
went out, and wept bitterly."<br />
<strong>The</strong> most likely persons whom may have<br />
witnessed this mo<strong>me</strong>nt in Jesus' life were Mary<br />
Magdalene, Mary the mother of Ja<strong>me</strong>s and Joses,<br />
the mother of Zebedee's children, and other<br />
wo<strong>me</strong>n (Matthew 27:55-56). However, there is no<br />
state<strong>me</strong>nt or account in the Gospels from these<br />
wo<strong>me</strong>n as <strong>to</strong> what they saw or heard.<br />
<strong>The</strong> disciple(s) found the sepulchre where Jesus<br />
was laid down, empty, and made the conclusion<br />
that he was resurrected because the disciples and<br />
other witnesses saw him alive after the alleged<br />
crucifixion. Nobody saw the mo<strong>me</strong>nt he was<br />
resurrected. Jesus himself stated that he did not die<br />
on the cross in Luke 24:36-41, as explained in the<br />
following paragraphs.
